A letter from Charles White, the President of Frontlines International, as we commit to raising funds for urgent relief for earthquake victims
Dear Partner,
We all watched the news in horror as the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria and aftershocks destroyed lives and property on biblical proportions.
At last count the death toll from the February 6 quake has surpassed 48,000 and those injured number in the hundreds of thousands. Aid has been reaching Turkey and much more is needed. Aid to Syria has been more difficult.
Frontlines International has committed to raise funding towards a $3 million project to bring urgent relief through a strong network of local church partners in Aleppo, Hama, Homs, Lattakia, and Tartous governorates. The local church needs our help to be to be ‘salt and light’ to the highly vulnerable, displaced, and crisis-affected people in their midst.
Please join us to empower local churches in Syria to bring relief and share the gospel with the poor and vulnerable. The brothers and sisters we seek to support live daily the suffering of religious repression and societal marginalization. Jesus said, “I was hungry and you gave me food, thirsty and you gave me drink, naked and you clothed me.” We minister to the Body of Christ. At the same time we equip them to minister the love of Christ to others who do not yet know Jesus.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ though-out Turkey and Syria, that God would protect them and use them in the midst of this great crisis to point people to the only one who can provide and sustain, Jesus. And if you would like to participate financially please donate here.
In His Name,
Charles White, President
Frontlines International
