Middle East
Saudi Arabia
- Salvation for the Saudi People – Pray for Saudi men and women to experience personal encounters with Jesus, despite strict religious control. Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam, and leaving the faith is punishable by death, yet many are secretly seeking Christ.
- Secret Believers – Ask God to strengthen Saudi Christians who must worship in secret, often without a community. Many risk their lives simply by possessing a Bible or speaking about Jesus.
- Freedom from Religious Control – Pray for the Saudis to have the courage to question Islam and seek the truth of the Gospel. Believers must rely on online ministries and underground networks with no official churches.
Iran
- House Churches – Pray for the underground church in Iran to continue growing and discipling new believers despite government crackdowns. Despite intense persecution, Iran has one of the fastest-growing Christian populations in the world.
- Persecuted Christians – Ask God to protect and encourage Iranian believers who face imprisonment and torture for their faith. Many are arrested and charged with “crimes against national security” simply for following Christ.
- Dreams and Visions – Pray for more Iranians to experience divine dreams of Jesus, which have led many to Christ. A growing number of Muslims in Iran are reporting supernatural encounters with Christ, leading them to faith.
Iraq
- Healing from War and Trauma – Pray for Iraqis, both Muslim and Christian, to find healing from years of war, terrorism, and displacement. Years of conflict have devastated communities, but many Iraqis are searching for lasting peace.
- Christian Witness – Ask God to embolden Iraqi Christians to share the Gospel in the midst of hardship. Despite the exodus of Christians from Iraq, a faithful remnant remains, determined to shine the light of Christ.
- Hope for the Displaced – Pray for Christian refugees and displaced Iraqis to be able to return home safely and rebuild their lives. Many believers have lost everything due to war and persecution but hold fast to their faith.
North Africa
Egypt
- Protection for Coptic Christians – Pray for the safety of Egypt’s ancient Christian community, which often faces violent persecution. The Coptic Church has existed since the 1st century, yet its members still suffer discrimination and attacks.
- Young Egyptians to Seek Christ – Ask God to stir the hearts of young people, especially those questioning Islam, to seek Jesus. Many young Egyptians are disillusioned with religious extremism and searching for deeper meaning.
- Revival Among Muslim Background Believers – Pray for former Muslims in Egypt who have turned to Christ, that they would be strengthened in faith. Leaving Islam is risky, as new believers often face rejection from their families.
Libya
- Safety for Believers – Ask God to protect Libyan Christians, who risk their lives for following Jesus. Libya is one of the most dangerous places in the world for Christians, with no public churches allowed.
- Christian Media to Reach Libyans – Pray that Christian TV, radio, and online materials will penetrate closed hearts in Libya. Many seekers secretly listen to Christian broadcasts, risking arrest or violence.
- Freedom from Extremism – Pray for an end to the dominance of radical Islam, which suppresses religious freedom. Libya has been torn apart by militia groups that enforce strict Islamic law.
Algeria
- Growth of the Church – Pray for the underground church in Algeria to expand, especially among the Berber people. The church is growing rapidly despite government restrictions on Christian gatherings.
- Government Persecution to End – Ask God to open doors for religious freedom so Christians can worship without fear. Several churches have been forcibly shut down by the government in recent years.
- New Believers to be Discipled – Pray for former Muslims to receive solid biblical teaching and support. Discipleship is difficult as many new believers have no access to Christian resources.
West Africa
Nigeria (Northern Region)
- Protection from Boko Haram and ISIS – Ask God to shield Nigerian Christians from terrorist attacks and kidnappings. Islamic militants continue to attack Christian villages, burning churches and homes.
- Strength for Persecuted Families – Pray for Christian families who have lost loved ones due to their faith. Many widows and orphans are left to rebuild their lives alone.
- Muslims to Turn to Christ – Ask God to reveal Himself to Fulani herdsmen and others who are persecuting Christians. Some former extremists have found salvation through the witness of faithful believers.
Central Asia
Kazakhstan
- Religious Freedom – Pray for greater freedom for Kazakh believers, as the government strictly controls religious activities. Kazakhstan has harsh laws restricting unregistered churches and missionary work.
- Christian Fellowship – Ask God to provide strong Christian communities for isolated believers. Many converts from Islam fear being disowned by their families and need strong discipleship.
- Muslims Seeking Jesus – Pray for those questioning Islam to find truth in Christ. Many young Kazakhs are open to Christianity but fear government and family backlash.
Turkmenistan
- Growth of the Underground Church – Pray for the small Christian community to grow despite heavy government restrictions. Owning a Bible or gathering for worship can result in arrest and imprisonment.
- Boldness in Evangelism – Ask God to strengthen believers to share the Gospel despite the risks. Many Christians must worship in secret, using coded language to avoid detection.
- Supernatural Encounters – Pray for God to reveal Himself through dreams and visions. In a nation with little access to Christian resources, God is moving in miraculous ways.
South Asia & Southeast Asia
India
- Salvation for Indian Muslims – Pray for India’s 200 million+ Muslims to experience Christ’s love and salvation. Many Muslims in India face discrimination and are looking for hope beyond religion.
- Freedom from Persecution – Ask God to protect Muslim-background believers who face threats from both Islamic and Hindu extremists. Persecution comes from all sides, making life extremely difficult for converts.
- Revival Among the Poor – Pray for impoverished Muslim communities in India to receive help and hear the Gospel. Many Muslim slums are unreached, but house churches are quietly growing.
Pakistan
- Discriminated for Faith -Pray for the Christians in rural areas who are discriminated against and persecuted for their faith. May they be discipled and be strong in faith.
- Pray for New Converts – From Hindu and Muslim background, to be discipled and strengthened.
- Pray for our Partners – Who are working in difficult situations and in sensitive areas. That God will give them wisdom and boldness to reach out the seekers.
Bangladesh
- Muslim Seekers to Find Jesus – Pray for those secretly searching for Christ in Bangladesh to find Christian mentors. Despite opposition, the underground church is growing among Muslims in rural areas.
- Strength for Persecuted Converts – Ask God to strengthen Muslim-background believers who are rejected by their families. Many live double lives, pretending to be Muslim out of fear.
- Christian Ministries to Flourish – Pray for Christian organizations working in Bangladesh to have open doors. Media ministries and radio programs are spreading the Gospel where missionaries cannot go.
Malaysia
- Religious Freedom – Pray for greater freedom for Malaysian Christians, as strict Islamic laws limit their ability to share their faith. Christianity is legal but highly restricted, especially for ethnic Malays.
- Salvation of Muslim Leaders – Ask God to touch the hearts of Islamic leaders in Malaysia, leading them to Christ. Some are beginning to secretly question their faith and seek answers in the Bible.
- Protection for Underground Churches – Pray for secret Christian gatherings to remain safe from government monitoring. Many Muslim-background believers have no safe place to worship.
Afghanistan
- Revival – Pray for revival in the church inside the country. God is at work and many people are coming to know Jesus (Isa) as the savior of their lives. Pray for receptive hearts.
- Safety and Security – Pray for safety and security of Christians / leaders and church planters who risk their lives to serve the people who are seeking to know the ‘true God’ inside the country. There is great danger in this as the Taliban will kill anyone who chooses to follow Christ.
- Refugees – Pray for the refugees and diaspora Afghan Christians that they will be a source of blessing to the Christians inside the country.
