Raising the Next Generation in Egypt

A state of deep poverty combined with social and economic discrimination makes it very hard for Christian children in Egypt. They are seen and treated as second-class citizens and often don’t have the same privileges as other religious groups. Christian children are often forced to enter the workforce early to supplement their family’s income.

Even when Christian parents can send their children to school, the children face tremendous discrimination. School classes of 100 children are quite common. Christian children are put in the back of the class, where they cannot always hear the teacher and where they get little or no personal attention. There is many a time when these children leave school partly or even fully illiterate.

Thanks to your prayers and support, Frontlines was able to start a schooling project that offers a way out and a way forward for these underprivileged Christian children. The worst-performing students are particularly selected so that they can be provided with additional quality schooling. By including them in small classes of 15 students or less, they are not only taught all regular subjects, but they also learn to read the Bible. With the extra care and academic insight provided, the children learn that they are valuable in the eyes of God. They learn that they are special to Him and that they have a purpose for which they were created. Most importantly, teachers impart values based on Biblical truths and thereby a healthy Christian identity is built.

A strong Christian foundation starts by nurturing and building the next generation, and we at Frontlines are so thankful that your gift of $150 provides schooling for a full year for one child in Egypt. There is a long waiting list of parents who wish to enroll their children in this program, and our prayer is that we will be able to increase the number of children we help in 2024.

Please pray:

  • The school ministry will nurture many more children in the coming years and the lives of Christian children will be positively impacted.
  • May parents who don’t have the means to afford a good education for their children be able to send their children for extra classes and Bible-centered education provided by Frontlines International.
  • May the Lord lift up those who are hurting and downtrodden among the believers in Egypt and provide them with resources that can uplift and strengthen them.

Frontlines International is a ministry that stands alongside those who live dangerously as they serve to bring the light of Jesus Christ to their communities.
